Telephone Selling Techniques - 2 days

This course looks at how to sell effectively over the telephone.  More and more companies are using the telephone as the most cost effective way to sell products and services.  Telesales techniques help to increase the effectiveness of a sales force by looking at the barriers to selling and how to overcome them.

Particular importance is placed on ways to stay motivated.  It is aimed at people involved in selling on the telephone, cold calling and lead-generating activities, who have already been on the "Effective Use of the Telephone" course.

Course Objectives

Participants will develop the knowledge and skills to:

  • Plan, structure and control a sales call.
  • Qualify leads and so increase effectiveness.
  • Calculate and monitor call to order ratios.
  • Learn the importance of high energy levels and motivation.
  • Deal with objections by welcoming them.
